We all get used to the positive changes in our lives and many of us lack the continued gratitude for these changes. This study found that we must remain grateful for these changes in order to remain happy. If we continue to raise our expectations for what can make us happy, we will remain unhappy.

All the more reason to start a gratitude journal.
